SRT & SRTLA link generator for Moblin, IRL Pro and Larix

Type your server, port, stream ID and latency and you get the import link for each app plus a QR code to scan with your phone. It works with any SRT or SRTLA server, ours or anyone else’s. Every format below comes from each app’s own documentation or source code.

It all runs in your browser. Your stream ID usually is your stream key, so this page never sends it anywhere and never stores it: there is no server behind it, and the QR code is drawn on your own device.

Already have a publish URL?

Paste a full srt:// or srtla:// URL and the fields below fill themselves in. Optional.

Your SRT server

Only the address: no srt:// in front and no port behind. SRTLA is SRT spread over several connections, for bonding.

Protocol

A domain name or an IP address, like relay.example.com.

What your server calls the stream ID or key. On ours it is publish: followed by your key. Leave it empty if your server does not use one.

How long SRT waits for lost packets. On a phone: 2000 ms over SRT, 3000 ms over SRTLA.

How the connection will be called inside the app.

Which apps can be set up with a QR code

None of the three apps lists stream providers, so a link or a QR code is the fastest way to get a connection in without typing a stream key on a phone screen.

What latency to pick

SRT resends lost packets as long as they arrive within the latency window. More latency gives a bad mobile network more room to recover; it also adds that much delay on screen.

From a phone on the move, 2000 ms over SRT holds up to the spikes of a typical mobile network. Over SRTLA the links arrive with different delays, so 3000 ms, which is also Moblin’s default. On a stable wired connection you can go lower.

Both ends negotiate the larger of their two latencies, so the server cannot fix a phone set too low: it has to be set in the app, which is what this link does.

Questions

Does this send my stream key anywhere?

No. The page is static and the links and QR code are built in your browser. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is saved on your device; close the tab and it is gone.

Does it work with servers other than Enhanced IRL?

Yes. Any SRT or SRTLA server that takes a host, a port and optionally a stream ID: a BELABOX cloud relay, your own receiver or another provider.

Why does Moblin say the connection failed when the URL is right?

Usually Big packets. Moblin turns it on for SRT streams and the import link cannot turn it off. Switch it off in the stream’s SRT(LA) settings and try again.

Can I put the latency in the URL instead?

Not reliably. latency= in an srt:// URL is read as microseconds by OBS and FFmpeg and as milliseconds by libsrt tools, and Moblin’s own SRT ignores it. Each app’s import link has a proper latency field, which is what this page uses.

Why is there no Larix link for SRTLA?

Larix does not speak SRTLA. For bonding from a phone, Moblin on iOS is the app that does it natively.
